This Privacy Policy explains how WOO Furniture (“WOO”, “we”, “us”), operator of the website woo.furniture, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit our website, place an order, contact us or subscribe to our newsletter. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
If you have any questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at info@woo.furniture.
1. What data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
Order and account data. When you place an order or create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, order contents and order history. This data is necessary to fulfil our contract with you.
Payment data. Payments are processed by our payment service providers (for example PayPal and card payment processors). We never see or store your full card number, and payment credentials are handled directly by the payment provider under its own privacy policy.
Contact and enquiry data. When you use a contact form, request a quote, apply for a job or message us by email or WhatsApp, we collect the information you provide (name, contact details, the content of your message and any attachments). Form submissions are stored securely on our website and may be transferred to our customer relationship management (CRM) system so that we can respond to and keep track of your enquiry.
Newsletter data. If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address and use it to send you product news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by writing to us.
Technical and usage data. When you browse the site we automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, approximate location (country — used, for example, to show prices in your local currency), browser and device type, pages viewed and interactions with the site. Some of this data is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
2. Why we process your data (legal bases)
We process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (processing and delivering your order, handling returns and warranty claims); consent (newsletter subscription, marketing and analytics cookies); legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, preventing fraud, improving our website and products, essential site functionality); and legal obligations (accounting, tax and consumer protection requirements).
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, and only to the extent necessary: our hosting provider (website and database hosting); payment service providers (to process your payment); delivery and logistics partners (to ship your order); our CRM system (to manage orders and enquiries); email service providers (to send transactional and newsletter emails); and analytics and advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google, which may set cookies or receive usage data as described in section 5 — for these platforms, data is only shared if you consent to marketing cookies.
Some of these providers (for example Meta and Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are protected by safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. How long we keep data
Order and invoicing data is kept for as long as required by accounting and tax law. Enquiry and CRM records are kept while we have an ongoing relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies:
Essential cookies — required for the site to work: shopping cart and checkout (WooCommerce), language selection, currency selection, security and caching. These do not require consent.
Analytics and marketing cookies — such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and similar analytics tags, used to measure site usage and the effectiveness of our advertising. These are set only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time via the cookie banner or the cookie settings link on our site.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@woo.furniture — we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS encryption across the entire website, restricted access to administrative systems, security monitoring and regular backups.
8. Children
Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version, with the date of the last update, is always available on this page.
